I saw this in my doctors, typed it out then found the website, I could have copy pasted.

Drinking a cup of coffee is one of life's small but regular pleasures. However there is some confusion about whether coffee and caffeine is good for you. Like all good things, moderation is advisable- this equates to four to five cups a day for the majority of people. Furthermore, sensible daily consumption of coffee may some benefits on your health.

RELAX AND ENJOY FOUR TO FIVE CUPS A DAY.
It is perfectly safe for the majority of people to drink four to five cups of coffee a day.
It is recommended that women who are pregnant or try to conceive stick to 300mg of caffeine a day- approximately three to four cups of coffee.
Advice about moderate consumption is based on the average amount of caffeine in a normal cup of coffee. Caffeine content can change depending on the size of your drink and how strong you like it.
Remember, caffeine is also found in other products such as tea, cola, sports drinks and chocolate.

COFFEE CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR FLUID INTAKE

Caffeine is a mild diuretic in large amounts, but drinking a moderate amount of coffee is unlikely to have a diuretic effect on the body.
The British dietetic association and the British nutrition foundation, advise that coffee can count towards the six to eight cups of assorted drinks you should drink everyday to keep your body hydrated.

mouse used to drink a couple of pots of coffee a day. No tries to limit caffeine to occasional chocolate something or other.

I used to drink coffee every day for seven years, then one day I stopped and never went back. It´s like nicotine.

While the trade association (businesses pushing their product) are correct that there are some cases where coffee is a medically appropriate treatment, they are completely wrong that coffee is safe for the typical healthy person.

For the vast majority of healthy human adults, coffee (even one cup a day -- much less five cups) is a serious long-term health hazard.

And for anyone with cancer, coffee is a serious and immediate health threat that in addition to immediate damage to critical organs (such as the liver) will also interfere with most cancer treatments.

I guess no more than five at the most but even sometimes one, two or three makes my hart rate get irregular beats and heavy racing sort of beats.

I was wondering what about heart and the rate of the heart with coffee?

I also knwo that you can clear clogged drains sometimes with a little coffee grinds. i saw that on something my mother sent me a while ago that had all these positive things you can do with coffee she sent me from a web page. I cannot remember the rest but i thought i would mention it that somebody may know what i am talking about with that as this has been brought up. Which i will thank for bringing this up.

I was going to ask about these things before as well.

Thank you all for posting on this subject, it has been a topic for me for many years. I am glad that some think outside the box.

I would love to see more opinions on the forementioned statement.

Should we drink coffee, if so how much?
When should we drink coffee?
What are the true health implications?
Why is Coffee legal when less harmful drugs arn't?
Who came up with the statement, "If coffee was discovered today the government would make it illegal". (is this true Roger).

For the typical healthy human (and few adult Americans qualify as a healthy human), occassional coffee presents no health risks.

The risks are from a cumulation of coffee -- drinking more than a cup of coffee a week.

Unfortunately, most persons who drink coffee, drink mutliple cups of coffee per day.

Large quantities of coffee directly attack the heart, liver, and kidneys -- all vital organs. There are additional lesser harmful effects.

An amazing number of stroke and heart attack victims are upset about meat being banned from their diet and even after their stroke or heart attack still refuse to admit that decades of eating meat caused their condition.

The harm of coffee is unambigiously established. Dr. han: "More than seven hundred volatile substances have been identified in cofee, including more than two hundred acids, alcohol, aromatic compounds, carbonyl compounds, esters, hydrocardons, heterocyclic compounds and terpenoids. Non-volatile substances in coffee include caffeine and other purines, glycosides, lipids, melanoidins, caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid. Coffee often contains pesticide residues and other contaminants such as nitrosamines, solvents and mycotoxins. The chemical decaffeination process leaves decaffeinated coffee tainted with methylene chloride, which is carcinogenic. Roasting coffee beans can create carcinogens. the numerous acids in coffee contribute to gastrointestinal distress. Caffeine depletes the body of calcium, potassium, iron, and trace minerals."

The harm to the heart, liver, and kidneys is unambigiously well documented.

Has your father in law had CT and PET scans and MRIs and biopsies perfomed to determine the current health of his liver and kidneys? Or is he just blindly believing that because severe failure hasn't yet occurred that he has done no damage?

It is possible that he might be the ONLY human immune to the harmful effects of coffee, but I seriously doubt that is the case.

I'd recommend a serious detox diet (over about a three week period). If your father in law is serious about his health, I can provide the details for a detox diet. I would need to know a health history and information on his regular diet for the last few decades.

Mallory I know all about The nutty Scientology CLEAR BODY, CLEAR MIND.

This is a 50 fifty year old detox system that they have studied very hard to get rid of modern chemicals.

I will start a Detox course online if anyone is intrested.

Maybe I could PM anyone who want to detox.

Maybe we could do it for charity, not for you lifestyle though Roger. Very Happy

I recommend detox based on ancient ideas well proven in ancient Egypt and ancient China.
