Hell everyone,
Aloha. I wonder what specific ingredients are in their three different holy oil(s)?
All the best,
Roger

Archdiocesan Chrism Mass scheduled
04/07/2006
Archbishop John Vlazny will celebrate the Chrism Mass on Monday, April 10, at 7 p.m., at St. Mary Cathedral (NW 18th and Couch Streets in Portland).
The Chrism Mass is the annual celebration at which the holy oils are blessed. The Mass also has special significance, as the priests of the archdiocese renew their commitment to ministry and service.
The oils to be blessed are the holy Chrism Oil, the Oil of Catechumens and the Oil of the Sick.
The holy Chrism Oil is used for anointing in the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Ordination of a priest or bishop. It is also used in the dedication of a church or altar. The Oil of Catechumens is used to anoint those preparing for Baptism, and the Oil of the Sick is used for those who are seeking healing of body, mind and spirit.
Catholics are invited to join Archbishop Vlazny and the priests of the Archdiocese at the Chrism Mass on Monday, April 10, at 7 p.m.
