Chocolet question

Is the fat content of chocolate sufficient enough to use by itself? As in melting the chocolate, mixing in the bud and simmering. then letting it harden again.

I'm going for a block of girridelli and a sak this weekend. I'll let ya know.I tried cheese today and wasn't impressed.

yep, I think you'll have better luck with the chocolate. I've used Ghirardelli before and as long as you don't get the white chocolate it melts really nice. I bought a huge block of it for baking at Sams club (it's a seasonal item there, very good price) I melted it and toasted my own fresh almond for christmas one year. worked pretty well.
