When my friends who have smoked marijuana talk about it, it is as if this is something they simply do not care about, and think is "cool" (The stereotypical skater pothead type). It sounds like they're talking about masturbation (even though that can be a spiritual experience in itself, but most people view it as a funny and 'feel good' experience). I have never done cannabis in any way. The best experiences I have heard from, are from people who look on it's spiritual use, and said it has brought them to deep places inside their minds. Whereas the kids in my school seem to find it as something that simply feels good, and is fun to do. Terence Mckenna said the best way to experience cannabis is to be alone in a dark room away from people. And to get the best quality you can find and blast yourself with it about once a week (so as to not gain a tolerance).
What is your thoughts on this? Is cannabis a substance that relies on what the user's mental state is, and what the user will think it will be like?
You can say anything is bad or good, depending on our perspective of it, but this is something I have not taken. I have no experience in it. _________________ "It's really amazing for me to see the ripples in the pond caused by casting a few pebbles" -Aeroplane

Socrates,
There is a difference between those who smoke Cannabis(who will use it as a way to have fun and will grow up) and us (THE OTHERS) who use it as a part of everyday life so as to live in a higher plain. |

Namaste Socrates and all
Good to have you with us, you definitely belong here.
Our brother Richi wrote one of my favorite papers on the subject.

Intent, he says is paramont to the output of Cannabis. (that's actually true of everything in life.) Those who wish to escape with Cannabis will for awhile, but Cannabis by design bears a message within it, in search of a voice to echo the message. An escapee has a better chance of escaping if they have a Sanctuary to run to. The Divine is always calling out to the soul, offering Sanctuary and a new life choice. The Soul needs to hear the message externally as well as internally, to learn to focus its intent. I heard the message for many years but it wasn't till I came here that I learned what I had been missing. Be patient, they will blossom in the fullness of time.
We humans of this world have had "The Secret" hidden from us by dark and evil people for too long. On other worlds "The Secret" is no secret but the natural way of life and has been since the beginning. It is difficult to hear truth when you have been lied to for your whole life. Especially when the truth is so spectacularly, phenominally, astondingly wonderful that Alladin's Genii is one of the few storys that come close the truth. We are ment to be "co-creators" with GOD. That is just tooo good to be true, we are taught. But its still true! www.thesecret.tv

Thanks for the input and links.
I have never tried cannabis in my entire life. I had an opportunity to do some with a few people I know, last Saturday. I declined. Their idea was to go behind my friends house while his parents were away, and smoke it crouched behind a small hill. All of which are the kind of people I talked about in my first post, the stereotypical pothead skater type. When I first try cannabis, I want to have a nice experience. Maybe go out in the woods and relax, after having listened to Timothy Leary's Beyond Life cd.
I came here in a search for knowledge. I have heard all the nonsense from my teachers and parents about "pot". I've been through some things in my life which have taught me to question my beliefs. So I went in search of the truth. My search has led me to this forum. This was a little while ago. Another source that has been helpful is erowids experience vaults (Typed experiences that have been submitted by people). I have done tremendous amounts of research about many different types of drugs. My research didn't stop at drugs though, I've branched off into different areas. Through my research I have found many figures such as Terence Mckenna.
An open mind has led me to many different places.... _________________ "It's really amazing for me to see the ripples in the pond caused by casting a few pebbles" -Aeroplane

Welcome 3 times Socrates. It fills my old heart with joy to see such wisdom and intelligence. I hope you will wait until you are safe and if possible with good spirited people. The time I spend alone in high worship is the most precious.
here is a great site by a great researcher Chris Bennett http://forbiddenfruitpublishing.com/chris/index.html |
