Ferre, from your second article:
Quote:
In 2003, Tehran sent a sweeping proposal to the Bush administration (via the Swiss Embassy) for dialogue and regional cooperation. Bush administration officials confirm that this memo was widely circulated and discussed -- and flatly rejected by the White House. New charges of possible criminal cover-up have emerged regarding the sudden “memory lapse“ of top Bush administration figures regarding this proposal.
This does not make any sense. Consider what the Bush said:
Quote:
First of all, I want to applaud the EU 3 for being strong in their -- in presenting a unified voice. Secondly, in terms of consequences if the Iranians continue to balk, we'll work with the EU 3. In other words, they're the -- they're the lead negotiators on behalf of the free world, and we will work with them in terms of what consequences there may be. And certainly, the United Nations is a potential consequence.
Are you saying the White House should bypass our lead negotiator role?
As to the first article, have you noticed that this speech was held in a place that can compete for the world´s harshest prohibition laws? In Malaysia, your Cannabis can get you hanged, if you´re lucky you only get whipped. |
