As most of you already know, I am attempting to gather information showing that the Cannabis Witch Hunt has been Draconian for millenia.

Among my latest attempts is information on Witches burned to death: http://www.prntrkmt.org/articles/burning.html

I would like to ask for help in gathering information on persons who have been imprisoned or put in jail for cannabis (possession, use, growing, distributing, etc.). Preferably "clean" cases that don't involve any violent crimes or other unrelated matters. I need full names, locations, dates of arrest, dates of imprisonment, where imprisoned, exact charges, quantities, etc.

Thanks.

I'm no blood hound, and sniffing out stuff like that isn't something I'm great at, but I am VERY pleased to hear of this work. I'm off to read what you've come up with so far, and will help as much as I can. You want recent convictions and historical cases of burning?

Police officers acquitted for beating a 64 yr old man recently in New Orleans. In the words of their defense attorney "all he had to do was comply"....and they wouldn't have fractured his face.

I think I have pretty good sources on burning.

I am looking specifically for cannabis imprisonment. There are hundreds of millions of convictions in the last century.

Humanizing the victims of the Witch Hunt one at a time lends more sympathy and compassion than merely listing numbers.

When you hear about the horrors perpetuated on Hypatia and Petronilla de Meath it makes a much bigger impact than hearing about tens of thousands of women burned in one year.

I still need to write about the cases of Hypatia and Petronilla.

Petronilla was the first Irish Witch burned alive (and was just a friend of the real target of the Witch Hunt).

Hypatia was a tough old woman who survived torture so long that the Christians put her to death because THEY couldn't handle the desert heat and needed to get to the shade.

And the Christians who murdered Hypatia were among the influential Christians who decided the major doctrine of mainstream Christianity.

And Hypatia was the greatest scientific and mathematical mind since Imhotep. Among her many achievements was figuring out calculus. Unfortunately, the Christians burned all of her books, including how to do calculus.

And while we are doing research, there is some information that is only available locally in local libraries and NOT on the internet.

I'd like to ask people to look for comments from representatives and senators who voted for the CSA who also made speeches or comments in which they made connections between cannabis and such things as god, the bible, jesus, christ, chrstianity, demon, devil, satan, satanism, or any other religious terminology.

None of them were foolish enough to make these kinds of comments on the floors of Congress, but finding these comments in a significant number of Congresspersons aoutside of Congress will help make it clear that the CSA is purely a religious law.

These kinds of comments would be in old microfilm copies of local newspapers, but wouldn't be on newspaper websites.

Getting large quantities of these comments requires a grassroots effort throughout the United States.

Dear Prntrkmt,

Do you have more information or sources about the witch hunt in muslim culture? I would love to understand more about their perspective towards this and Cannabis.

Thanks

Alan

I don't have a lot of information about Muslim persecution of Witches.

There are the famous bloody massacres led by Mohammad and his immediate followers. And the famous massacre of the Queen Kahina of the Berbers and her people. And numerous military actions and jihads and other campaigns of terror. And the case just a few years back when Saudi Arabia rounded up more than 3,000 people acussed of Witchcrfat and killed them over a three day period.

I will have to do a lot more research into this area.
