| Hey all, new here to the boards, first post I believe. I've posted this question on all the forums I frequent, although I'm guessing I'll get the best response here. Anyone ever been to Bonnaroo Music Festival, I have the chance to go for the first time and the lineup looks amazing. Question concerns the show itself,(sound setup/acoustics), social scene(people walking around impromptu parties and such), and whether or not there is the ability to enjoy some THC. My big concern is the sound and social elements, the THC is something that is secondary. Thanks in advance. |

Bonnaroo is the largest, best festival of the whole summer! Last year there were probably 70,000-100,000 people there. The whole town, even the cops, seem to love us and the whole event. I only heard of a couple busts and the drug scene is overwhelming. I walked around holding up shrooms and nuggets the whole time and the mounties even said they weren't worried about that stuff, just with keeping the nice, easy-going, safe atmosphere. The line-up is amazing and that festival helped me live comfortably for most of last year. I will definitely be there again this summer and I'll p[robably be wearing some sort of identifying shirt, so members of certain forums such as this one will know who I am. I would tell what I wore last time but that may give away my secret identity on other forums! LOL _________________ CrookedEye

Well, if you are feeling better around the time it comes, I'd be willing to help look out for you. There are many people that bring mobile homes and big campers, so you can hang out in air condition and still hear the bands play. Anyone who can make it should go, it's truely an amazing experience. BTW, TCP420, the name Bonnaroo is the name of the festival, there is actually more than 20-30 bands/musicians playing, including the Dead and other Jam bands, as well as DJ's and other things. James Brown was there last year and so was the DJ from the Beastie Boys, among many others. Something for everyone, but the tickets can be expensive. _________________ CrookedEye

I'll get you a T-shirt, no money needed, just let me know what size you wear. I'll try to get some pictures but everytime I do, I just never get those little cameras developed. I have one from my kids B-day, one from Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado(Dead show), and I'll probably end up doing the same at Bonnaroo, but I'll really work on getting them developed this time! I am leaving tonight for Bonnaroo and it's gonna be great! I'll probably wear my THC-Ministry shirt there for at least one day. It's got a big Cannabis leaf with Jesus on the cross in front of it and on the back it says Truth with a bunch of writing about our rights on it. I'll have a red, black, green, and yellow dread tam on and I have a full beard that's starting to get long, so if you see me, Holler! Peace... _________________ CrookedEye
