Bible Censors Weed Out Stoner References
Religious experts involved in publishing a modernised version of the Bible are to amend all references to ‘being stoned’ to ‘being stoned to death’, in an attempt to prevent young people from confusing Old Testament executions with drug taking.
“We wanted to keep it from being confused with drug addiction’” explained Professor Ronald Youngblood, head of the 15-strong panel of eminent theologians involved in rewriting the New International Version Bible told the Observer.
Despite the panel’s efforts, diligent youngsters could still find drug references in the sacred text, according to Biblical researcher Chris Bennett, who suggested several years ago that Jesus was almost certainly an enthusiastic stoner (cannabis user).
Writing in High Times, Mr Bennett suggested Jesuseven used pot to perform his miracles, citing numerous Biblical passages to prove his point.
“If cannabis was one of the main ingredients of the ancient anointing oil and receiving this oil is what made Jesus and his followers Christians then persecuting those who use cannabis could be considered anti-Christian," he added (The Guardian).
His point was coincidentally endorsed by Stan White from Bakersfield, USA this week, in a letter published in Bakersfield newspaper Renegade Rip.
“It is no accident that the Bible indicates God created all the seed-bearing plants and said they were all good, on literally the very first page in Genesis 1:11-12 and 29-30,” said Stan, “It is Biblically correct to re-legalize cannabis.”

Did you guys know, btw, that that on the filters you get from AOL to protect children and make Internet use safe for children (and teenagers),you could choose keywords as 'sex', 'violence', -- and-- 'drug legalisation' as well. _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

Then it looks like these "Religious experts" are discarding the part of their bible that says "not to alter even one word of the bible, lest they be stoned to death".
Cherrypicking from the bible is approved by them as long as it suits their agenda, right?... not in my tabernacle, house or world!
Everybody must get stoned
Peace if you can get it,

Which, incidentally is on the last page of the bible....

That's hillarious. Now they're protecting children from their own bible? How would one even begin to argue about changing the bible when the bible itself says don't touch it? Just like any tall building, an argument needs a foundation to stand upon, because without it, the argument crumbles just as the building would. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

Looks cool to me.The New International Version Bible people are AWARE that
people will go looking for cannabis references.
Thanks to the KENEH BOSEM revelation.
The references in the bible that state "being stoned"
DO NOT refer to "getting stoned"
they DO refer to "being stoned to death"

That shows their" fear of the truth"
as far as the "not to alter even one word of the bible, lest they be stoned to death",thing.
All bibles we read are altered/translated.
We do not read the bible in old greek/new testament or hebrew/old testament and so on................
