I feel the need to mention an intuition I've had and been bothered by for some time now.

When speaking of someone we love deeply, or something we cherish, wouldn't it feel better and achieve a better resonnance of understanding with those whom we're speaking with, to use terms of endearment and a vocabulary imbued with feelings of love and reverence.

Whenever someone refers to Cannabis curtly or in slang terms such as "pot", or "dope", it indicates to me their level of understanding , societal conditioning, and lack of love and appreciation for a truly divine sacrement. This in itself is understandable given the culture most of us have been reared from. However this is a habit I feel we must strive to overcome and eradicate. It is self defeating!

If we wish to use Cannabis freely without persecution we must learn to love it mindfully at all times as a teacher and friend. Not as a fix, drug, or substance of addiction. In turn we must endeavor to always speak of it in these same terms of endearment and love or risk reinforcing the negative view already spread and held at large through propaganda generated by a fascist, totalitarian, capitalistic regime who seeks to undermine the strength and power of the individual to live in freedom and enlightenment. Unfortunately I've noticed many magazines supposedly meant to promote the use of Cannabis foolishly promoting this same mental attitude. If we are to live free without being exploited, and forced into a life of slavery, we must first begin living as the free. This entails loving all we enter into engagement with(person, place, and thing). We need to have the patience & courage enough to open our hearts to the moment, and LOVE.

When we use terms like"Pot" , or "Dope" , it feels to me as if we are psychologically (psychically) exploiting and raping the essence of a Divine being. Ultimately the blessing of Cannabis is lost on those who cultivate this state of mind. They will be missing the Divine love that is available if only we are patient, wonderous, and open hearted enough to receive this blessing from this truly heavenly plant, sacrement, and food.

Practice Theophagy and giggle at the secrets the heart of our universe is whispering to us ... if we listen! Please Embarassed

AMEN
AND WELL SAID!
The pergortive term marijuana was used by the prohibitionist to villaffy the herb held sacred by our ancestors and trick the good people of the 1930s in to destroying the most valuable plant on the planet

I'm in agreement, uriya.

As Ghandi reminded us, "You must be the change you seek."

Calling our Sacred Herb a "weed" is like calling the woman you love a "Ho."

If we wish our spiritual paths to be respected, we should act like it.

Follow Your Bliss,
Ben

Anslinger made sure cannabis was associated with the word "marijuana" for that very reason. To make the plant look and sound like a dirty whore.
