The politicians don't always laugh, sometimes they shout, and somtimes they march, and sometimes they back down. The press that make protesters look like fools do not always win the argument ,and why should I care what they think?Peaceful protest is a democratic right, like religious freedom...and If you don't use it you loose it..as the monks in Burma surely know respect p to them and to you brother Adam
good vision David, years ago I was involved in Legalise CCampaign and this is mostly how we worked, talking to agency's, politicians and making our case in the press, mostly getting support in the Guardian Things got harder in the nineties, but there are still folk making the scientific and human rights arguments wherever they can.
Now that most MS sufferers can get cannabis spray on medical trial, and the media reports that gangs are using child slave labour to grow super skunk in semi detached suburbia, the Right are pushing the clock back to class b...so campaigners need to regroup..and will...
peace

Oh.....well, one thing that is for sure is that the U.S. is not a democracy. It's a constitutional republic.
The protests are ok if that's your thing, but I'm first for removing the people from power who cause most of our ills and placing them in jail. I thought it was all cool at first, but the protests almost never work in favor of the protesters.
Taking back our government from a grass roots level would surely help a lot, but we've got to arrest and try all criminal elements in our govts for crimes of treason against our people. Until we hold THEIR Nuremberg trials, we aren't really making any ground. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

Police officers acquitted for beating a 64 yr old man recently in New Orleans. In the words of their defense attorney "all he had to do was comply"....and they wouldn't have fractured his face. |
