Yes, that weapon is real and actually is considered quite a beautiful thing. _________________ Peace and Blessings to All,

I'm not dissing you in any way shape or form, but what is beautiful about a laser weapon?
Perhaps I missed the pun. |

Yes you did, the Military folks who designed, tested, and operate the system see it as a beautiful thing, I do not. I am well versed in how, who, and what horrific things the Defense Industry can do and what they DO do. As horrible as this weapon is, it is only the tip of the Iceburg. Boeing, Northrup Gruman, Haliburton, KBR, Blackwater, as well as others are making bigger and badder things. The only way to stop the government from buying on to mass death, is to go out and vote. _________________ Peace and Blessings to All,

Well said.
Yet, how do you vote when the Independents have insurmountable odds?
Just like we are playing ping pong in another thread, voting for the Democrats is not going to change the problem.
My solution:
Media Reform
Mass, Mass, Mass protests.
Time is running out. They are moving to regulate the internet.
Can you say, Checkmate?
Where are our great Paul Revere's? |

Yeah, you can allready forget about voting. With electronic ballots and the fact that our ballots are counted behind closed doors with armed gaurds (which is actually un-constitutional a.k.a. illegal) you can pretty much forget about getting a fair vote. There's another part of the voting thing that's not working. Every candidate is on somebody else's payroll, and those people with the big money make sure each party has the right person in place should any vote go awry anyhow. The puppet masters don't change, only the puppets...it's the same people pulling the strings and making their mouths move. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

voting and letter writing is what everybody still talks about, as though these are bonafide solutions to social problems.
You're kidding right? Don't you remeber what happened in the last GW Bush "election"? The people chose Gore, but the Supreme court chose Bush. Voting only works when the vote-takers are honest, and guess what...they aren't.
More and more, voting to me resembles begging. "Please mr. or mrs. representative, wont you make everything right...since little ol' us can't do it for ourselves!" People who grovel for a mandated government fix get what they deserve....special interest corruption in the name of the common good.
Want to really change something? Live a different way! Live a life that really means something. Live daily the kind of world and lifestyle which you would like to see society engage. If you are not willing to do this, and even to make those sacrifices necessary to accomplish it, (such as simpler living that respects nature and natural laws) then how can you expect other people to do that for you? How can you expect society to change when you yourself are living in the same fashion as they, playing all the same social games like war, paying your dues/taxes, and not questioning the foundations of consumerism to the point of practical action?
Also, none of this is going to happen without a shift in consciousness. No consciousness change, no personal or social change. No change in consciousness means no change in values or lifestyle.

Very strong argument Rishi.
Profoundly strong.
He speaks of pure natural law, which every religion teaches.
"You reap what you sow"
You do not just wake up one day, and learn to play the guitar.
You must labor your time into it, over, over, over, and over.
ONLY then, have you sowed. THEN, you can reap the "profits" of what you put into it.
Natural Law.
It applies to every single aspect, every single aspect, every single ASPECT, thought, action, movement of your entire life.
It is the difference between the two great paradigms in which I still struggle to perfect myself.
Proactive
or
Reactive
The answer is Proactive. The majority is Reactive.
ALWAYS remember, that in human nature, mass movements follow the MINORITY that YELLS the loudest.
It does not matter if that minority is correct, or incorrect.
Being proactive, takes the cake, and that will never change as long as the world spins on it's axis. |
