Inside tip helped U.S. take out al-Zarqawi

By PATRICK QUINN and KIM GAMEL, Associated Press Writers 1 minute ago

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Tips from within Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's own terror network helped the U.S. locate and bomb a secret meeting among the al-Qaida leader and top associates at a safe house north of Baghdad, military officials said Thursday.

Iraqis celebrated with gunfire as the battered face of the country's most feared terrorist was broadcast around the world. It was a long-sought victory for U.S. forces, but officials cautioned of violence ahead — and a string of blasts proved that prediction almost immediately.

Within minutes of the announcement of al-Zarqawi's death, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki named three key security ministers — military and political breakthroughs in rapid succession that marked the biggest potential turnaround in
Iraq in months.

Why...we've been led to believe that things are terribly awry in Iraq... that the U.S. has made a mess o' Potamia, while just the opposite appears to be true.

Example: An Iraqi "governement" official (that government which governs LEAST, as they say..) said that Al-zarqawi had been identified by DNA...

...just in a matter of a few hours!

Why, in North America or Europe...apparently way behind, by Iraiqi standards...DNA evidence would take weeks to process and identify.

Amazing. Truly amazing.

Bliss,
Ben

Either way, it's really no biggy. I mean according to this article Zarqawi was already losing support among the al-queda chieftons. In other words, he was the sick and dying cow given up to save the herd.

I envision the scenerio went something like this:

al-Queda's people had tea with Bush & Co.'s people and they decided it was best for the investors on both sides to keep this moronic illusion of the 'war on terror' going. But since support was waning on the homefront for B&C, maybe al-Q could sacrifice one of it's own to make it look like B&C were competant on some level. al-Q's people agreed but only after B&C's people agreed to sacrifice one of their own. That sacrifice will be determined at a later date.

If you've read my above post about the Alice in Wonderland tea party scenario, then here's two more links that back my Z-theory. Remember, the herd gives up the sick and dying first.

al-Zargawi was a has-been, a glory-hog who had fallen out of favor with the leadership of al-Qaeda, a man who had become so despised by his fellow terrorists that they turned him in

Doh, what about bin Laden?

Ohmygod! There is so much proof out there to back my 'Tea Party' theory!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Just take a look at these photos of Blair caught drinking tea with terrorists!

Blair drinks tea with suspected terrorists 1
Blair drinks tea with suspected terrorists 2
Blair drinks tea with suspected terrorists 3
Blair drinks tea with suspected terrorists 4
Blair drinks tea with suspected terrorists 5
Blair drinks tea with suspected terrorists 6
He drinks so much tea, one might think HE could be a terrorist!
(note: I was using the definition of 'terrorist' by the standard of domestic spying on ordinary citizens.)

And then there's this about GW! (omg!)
GW Bush Heads Texas Education Agency, aka TEA!!!

Am I the only one that questioned the picture as well? From my observation, he got his ass beat. His right eye is severely bruised, something you don't usually get from instant death caused by 1000lbs of bombs, and the cheeky red blood on his....cheek. That's some awful bright red stuff for dried blood.

I mean, I KNOW without being told that we're only getting a half-truth, if any. Just like a lot of the Bin Laden pictures they release are photos of totally different people.

...and, did Al-zarqawi really have Ann Coulter's and Karl Rove's phone numbers in his speed dial?

We may never know.

Rev. A, can you give a better link to al-Z's face? The one in your original news article is hard to see. It might be al-Z or it might not be. However, I do find the inconsistancies in the story disturbing.

First:
Quote:
Initially, the U.S. military had said al-Zarqawi was killed outright. But Friday new details emerged of his final moments.

Then:
Quote:
Al-Zarqawi somehow managed to survive the impact of the bombs, weapons so powerful they tore a huge crater...
Quote:
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi could barely speak, but he struggled and tried to get away from American soldiers as he lay dying on a stretcher in the ruins of his hideout.
Quote:
"He obviously had some kind of visual recognition of who they were because he attempted to roll off the stretcher, as I am told, and get away, realizing it was the U.S. military," Caldwell

(They want us to believe they killed everyone in the building with the 2-500 pound bombs except for the super-villian al-Z and that he was like Tom Delay, defiant to the very last??? Come on! He's just a terrorist, not a US politician!) (Note to US Military: You need stop using Hollywood explosives.)

Then they said:
Quote:
Iraqi police reached the scene first, and found the 39-year-old al-Zarqawi alive.

Iraqi police got to the scene first??? Well, pack up our boys and bring them home, because if our troops can't get to the scene of the crime before Iraqi POLICE (not their troops), then they certainly don't need us coming in afterwards, now do they?

Quote:
He mumbled something, but it was indistinguishable and it was very short...
I imagine it was something like, "I'm not al-Zarqawi and you murdered my wife and children you f-ing bastards!", or "I love you.", or "We were just having a tea-party, Alice. Death to the infidels!"

Yes, many things are wrong with this story in Rummy World.

How many times can one guy be reported wounded/killed before we realize it's a hoax?

Just one of many Guinness Book records being established during this whole fiasco.

That was the only photo I have seen so far. It's funny because they did in fact report he was killed by the bombing. NOW, we hear a different story....the picture itself was enough to tell me something is fishy.

Ok, here's what I just read in "De Telegraaf", the biggest newspaper in my country;

According to eye witnesses, Al-zarqawi was not dead but only wounded when the Americans bombed the house that he was staying in.
There were local medics with an ambulance on the scene right after the bombing and Al-zarqawi had been carried into an ambulance when US soldiers appeared and dragged him out of the ambulance.

The American soldiers made sure he had no explosives on him and were very exited according to one of the neighbors, they kept asking him for his name. Al-zarqawi did not answer and the American soldiers started kicking Al-zarqawi with their boots, mostly on his chest until he died.

The story is here:
http://www.telegraaf.nl/buitenland/44460761/_Al-Zarkawi_doodgeschopt_door_VS-militairen_.html

It has also been published in The Sunday Times, an English newspaper.
