At work, I received an email from my principal, telling all the stuff that one of our teachers had suffered a loss. Her brother in law was one of those recently killed over there. He was driving one of the cars that was headed for the compound. They were ambushed as they were on their way to the compound. This man, saw what was happening, put his car in the way of the ambushers so the other car could make it into the compound. He knew he was going to die. He could have saved himself but it was his job to protect and he gave his life for protecting. When she was telling me the story, not a tear was shed. I knew she was proud of her brother in law and even though I had never met him, I was proud of him too.
