Hello there,
Aloha and happy end of summer.
I LOVE the aroma of ready-to-harvest Cannabis buds and I've wanted to capture the fragrance in some healthy way. I think I've found the way.
* For many years I've been making Cannabis 'tincture' with excellent results. It's terrific! Here's the recipe:
In a one ounce eye-dropper bottle put
2 parts Grand Marnier orange cognac
1 part Chambord black raspberry cognac and
1 gram Cannabis flowers.
Heat the mixture in a double boiler to activate the Cannabis and melt the 'resin' into the alcohol. Use a wooden chopstick to mash the Cannabis a bit. Shake the bottle. Taste. If you can taste the Cannabis throught the alcohol you're done. Bingo! Put it in your pocket or purse and away you go. A drop here and a drop there is delicious! Easy to share. Surprisingly great taste. A dose of (non-smoked) Cannabis sacrament in every drop, and "there's a Bud in every bottle". :-}
Occassionally I meet people who are alcoholics and/or allergic to alcohol. Many of them have suggested I try vegetable glycerine as a 'carrier' instead of alcohol. Two days ago I tried it and it's pretty amazing.
I took a one ounce eye-dropper bottle and picked a fresh, growing, aromatic, sticky, resin-covered bud and put it into the bottle. I added almost one ounce of vegetable glycerine to cover the herb and I put it away.
Yesterday when I taste-tested the mixture it was totally amazing. The full aroma of the Cannabis bud is there in a carrier that's a bit sweet. Just one drop on the tongue is almost like licking a sweet Cannabis lolli-pop.
If you like the smell of ready-to-harvest Cannabis buds, I think you'll love a tincture made with vegetable glycerine. What benefit it has for healing or sacrament is still to be discovered as the Cannabis is fresh-picked and raw. Enjoy!
All the very best to you!
Roger

I imagine a sub-lingual (under the tongue) application of the tincture would be quite effective.
