| Is, when you "find god" as I am sure many of you have... how do you know which god. How do you know the light you found is Jesus and not Buddah? |
Because it was upon his name I called. In the first place It was the only one I knew. It was him I sought.Although it was when I was 40 did I and my family see him working and interacting in my/our behalf on numerous occasions. I got results. it works for me and so thats the name I use and the book that gives me my answers. These scriptures come to mind.

Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Matthew 7:8 - For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me;
One day, Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must never give up. "There was a judge in a certain city," he said, "who was a godless man with great contempt for everyone. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, appealing for justice against someone who had harmed her. The judge ignored her for a while, but eventually she wore him out. 'I fear neither God nor man,' he said to himself, 'but this woman is driving me crazy. I'm going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!' "
Then the Lord said, "Learn a lesson from this evil judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end, so don't you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who plead with him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when I, the Son of Man, return, how many will I find who have faith?" (Luke 18:1 |
But I also believe that God hears the natives in the rain forest the aborigine's in Australia... ect and so on an so on I believe no I know the creator knows us all an hears us all.~Lilli~

Ever the Scientist, Ever the Philosopher.
All of you make wonderful points. All true. What does it matter, the name you give to "The Source"?
I agree "religion" is a statehood. A means of controll and commerice.
I believe Science is uncovering aspects of "God" previously undiscovered.
What beautiful minds in our little forum.
Love to all.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost"
That is why I chose this way.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
And need someone to be my guide.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And pray for strength to carry on.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are all too visible,
But God believes I'm worth it.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
Which is why I speak His name.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.
