10 Million Americans Busted for Pot: Enough is Enough
| Quote: |
| The bottom line: Since 1990 over 10.4 million Americans -- predominantly young people under age 30 -- have been busted for pot. Thousands have been disenfranchised, tens of thousands have been unnecessarily sent to "drug treatment," hundreds of thousands have lost their eligibility for student aid, and perhaps an entire generation (or two) has been alienated to believe that the police are an instrument of their oppression rather than their protection. These are the tangible results of the government's stepped up war on pot -- results that go beyond the FBI's record numbers, and it's high time that politicians and the general public began taking notice. |
Indeed, enough is enough! _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

After searching for different alternatives to bring change, the only way I can see that has even the slimmest chance of helping is to serve a "Declaration of Indepence" on Congress, declaring the people of the US independent from the federal government.
Of course, this has a massive chance of backfiring. At worst, the feds will completely ignore it and slate the bearer and all supporters as simply insane. At best, they will be declared "enemy combatants" or "traitors" and imprisoned - thus achieving martyr status and inflaming a portion of the population. If a large portion of the population is inflamed and the government responds by attempting to tighten its grasp, the effect will server to incite more people to action.
Of course, the idea is not to encourage violence from the people. The idea is to get the government to respond in a horrific way to encourage more people to civil disobedience. "Give me freedom or give me death" - only by the death and torture of patriots will others be spurred into action, and those tyrants, those who feel they are above the law, will be torn down by the people. _________________ Experience things for yourself.

Wow....finally someone on the same page as me.
We've tried a redress of grievances, but when it comes to the point that a SOVEREIGN citizen of one of these states can't even ask questions of our public officials without being simply shrugged off, it is time to tear down the government and start again.
I've been posting about this almost everywhere for a while. All this "vote Ron Paul" crap everywhere...I keep trying to tell people to READ the original declaration of independence and tell me if they don't think it's time to do it again.
Me personally. I no longer consider myself a part of the United States. I am a citizen of FLORIDA. I'm all for a new declaration and a new constitution minus the flaws that let us get to where we are today. Don't put it past me to do it either, lol! Send a copy to congress, the president, the state governor, and every media outlet available. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

Oh, that's no question, but this is MY state where I was born and raised. I am not a united states citizen. I am a citizen of a sovereign state. The only thing I was doing is pointing out there is a difference between a US citizen and a citizen of one of the states. US citizens need marriage licenses, drivers licenses, and concealed weapons permits....US citizens are given the "privilege" of "equal protection" when traveling amongst the states, but a citizen in their OWN state has RIGHTS....this is another subtle change in the language that has gotten us all in a heap of shit.
Remember, this is a federation of states. Not a single entity. We are basically 50 different individual countries....so much is not as it seems it's hard to grasp at times, but like I have said many times, watch for subtle changes in the language because they mean BIG changes behind the scenes. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

I am from the sovereign State of Oregon. Each State was to rule itself. The Federal Government was supposed to make sure of our international safety and that individual States do not suppress the populace against the Declaration of Independents and the bill of rights. New Hampshire calls it self the Free state of New Hampshire. We are a Nation of 50 sovereign States united in freedom. Well we were once up on a time anyhow. _________________ Once a man sees his immortality, there is no turning back. He is on the Quest of Knowledge whether he knows it or wants it. No state has actually been sovereign since the Civil War ended. Additionally, with the 14th Amendment, the United States Government declared all people of the US its official property - but few really realizes this, so few try to challenge it. _________________ Experience things for yourself.
